How does PRP treatment at Skinthetics work?
Preparation for treatment
Before each PRP treatment, we conduct a detailed consultation. Dr. Lucija Grittern analyzes your skin texture and develops an individual treatment plan. We inform you about the procedure, possible side effects, and the expected results.
Special preparation is usually not necessary. You should only temporarily stop taking blood-thinning medication after consulting with us. On the day of treatment, you should have consumed sufficient fluids.
Performing the treatment
The actual PRP treatment begins with the collection of approximately 10-20 ml of blood from a vein in the arm. The blood is then processed in a special centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. This process takes about 10-15 minutes.
The PRP obtained is injected into the skin areas to be treated using fine needles. During PRP treatment on the face, we focus on the desired areas such as the forehead, cheeks, or eye area. The PRP is applied using the SkinPen and is usually painless. We use an anesthetic cream if necessary.
Aftercare
After Vampire lifting, slight redness and minimal swelling may occur, which usually subsides after a few hours. We recommend that you do not touch the treated areas intensively for 24 hours and refrain from exercising.
